Kara Myers MS, OTR/L, 
Occupational Therapist, Owner, Director

Kara received her Undergraduate and Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College in 2002.  She has years of experience working with children of all ages and varying disabilities throughout outpatient rehabilitation, school and early intervention settings.  She utilizes a holistic approach when working with her patients combining sensory integration, cognitive behavioral and play based models in effort to meet her patient's maximum potential.  

Kara is certified in administering and interpreting the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and has extensive training in Sensory Integration theory. She has advanced certification in Therapeutic Listening and has completed continuing education in treating children on the autism spectrum, childhood anxiety disorders, picky eating and sensory based feeding difficulties.

Kirstyn Gamache MS, OTR/L 
Occupational Therapist, Fieldwork Coordinator

Kirstyn received her Undergraduate and Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of New England in Portland, Maine.  Kirstyn is passionate about working with children to help increase their independence and functional skills in a variety of settings.  She also works in day habilitation programs in Massachusetts and has extensive experience working with children with various needs.  Kirstyn holds OT licensure in both NH and Massachusetts.  She is certified in the Therapeutic Listening Program.

Lindsay Arel MS, OTR/L 
Occupational Therapist

Lindsay received her undergraduate and Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.  She has experience working with children both in early intervention and in an outpatient setting.  She has training in evaluating and providing individualized treatment to children with neuromotor, sensory motor and sensory based feeding difficulties.  She also has completed continuing education with regards to Handwriting Without Tears and the Astronaut Training Protocol.

Alexa Psareas MS, OTR/L 
Occupational Therapist

Alexa received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from MCPHS University. She has experience working with a variety of populations, including children ages 3-18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing challenges, ADHD, mental health disorders, challenging behaviors, developmental delays, and neurological conditions. Before pursuing her master’s degree, Alexa worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in clinical, community and home-based settings. In addition, she has received training in behavioral principles and uses a holistic approach to address challenging behaviors and underlying needs limiting participation in daily activities. Alexa is extremely passionate about working with all children and enjoys creating individualized and innovative treatment sessions for each child, driven by their interests, strengths, and areas of need to maximize functional outcomes. She believes a holistic, individualized, and evidence-based approach and with a focus on family-centered services are key to success.

Stephanie Cooney - MS, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Stephanie graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience working with children and adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  She holds OT licensure in both NH and Massachusetts.  Stephanie enjoys working with children and assisting them in achieving their full potential.  She has additional experience with therapeutic yoga which she integrates into her treatments.

Jenna Tingley - MS, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Jenna received her undergraduate degree and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from The University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.  She has experience working with children ages 3-18 with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and sensory processing challenges.  She also has experience working in a specialized school for children with autism and working in both inpatient and outpatient adults.  Jenna really enjoys working with children and their families to assist in achieving their goals.

Gigi Quimby - MS, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Gigi received her Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Physiology with a minor in Psychology from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. She then pursued her Master's in Occupational Therapy at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. Driven by a profound passion for empowering children and families, Gigi is dedicated to helping them achieve greater independence in their daily lives. With experience working with diverse children and a background in mental health, she brings a holistic approach to her practice.

Cortney Alexander - Administrative Assistant

Cortney joined the team at MKFT in the summer of 2020.  She graduated from Kansas State University with a BA in psychology and women's studies. Cortney brings years of experience in administrative support, including medical billing, scheduling and correspondence.

A Specialized Space 

Bright. Thoughtful. Welcoming. 

Our facility is a state-of-the-art, thoughtful and welcoming space. We have multiple treatment rooms all featuring unique ways to integrate and enhance both gross and fine motor skills, as well as motor planning skills. We offer a ball pit and loft for kids to jump off into a sea of foam cushions. We have multiple large suspension systems throughout our facility with the capability of using a variety of suspended equipment such as a lycra hammock swing, climbing ladders and hanging "vines." We also have specialized spaces for fine motor development with child sized tables and chairs for kids to participate in tabletop activies and games.  Large windows throughout the office space offers lots of natural light.
